Comeback Kid; Hoyer proves worthy

Watching the Pats come from behind last night to beat the Giants was a sweet way to end a preseason where I held my breath the watching Tom Brady play.

Last nights true star however was Brian Hoyer, an undrafted free agent rookie, who is trying to win the slot as Tom Brady's primary backup. It's not easy being the number two guy behind Tom Brady. Matt Castle proved that last season, but Hoyer gritted out a tough game last night to win 38-27.

And, I couldn't be happier that we stuck one to the Giants.

Hoyer completed 18 of 25 passes for 242 yards with no interceptions. Though it was against the majority of New York's backups I still feel comfortable knowing our second string is better than theirs.

So cheers to Hoyer who proved he could hang tough, but Brady is still my guy!
